Unforced Rhythms

I'm a little tired today...even though I spent most of yesterday sleeping. It seems my body is just now getting caught up on a month's worth of sleep and surgical recovery. So, I will be back tomorrow with the giveaway winner and my Daniel post and the amazing blessing gift I received today and the way that God showed up big...There's so much to share with you all!

And...maybe results from my tumor pathology. It seems even the doctor is getting a little anxious to know what the facts of this cancer are. I keep praying it's taking so long because it takes a long time to name something cancer-free that has been named cancer by two hospitals, one being the best cancer center in the nation. Just calling things that weren't as though they are.

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." Matthew 11:27-29

Don't stop believing!
Rest in grace tonight,

Sleep is a great healer. Plus you have just recently had surgery and a big weekend shortly thereafter. I have been told that it takes up to three months to regain your energy after surgery.
Praise God for how HE has been working in your situation with the doctors.

Sweet Lisa,

I haven't been around to blogs in the past few days...a lot going on here with my husband's health...but I was so happy to see your comments on my blog today.

I'm praying that the Lord brings good news with the long awaited phone call. I pray along with you sweet one when you say, "I keep praying it's taking so long because it takes a long time to name something cancer-free that has been named cancer by two hospitals, one being the best cancer center in the nation. Just calling things that weren't as though they are." Oh I pray for that miracle I surely do. You know me, I'm a firm believer in His awesome power and might...in His miracles!

My sister had her first Chemo treatment today. I talked with her when she had 40 more minutes to go in her treatment and she was doing great. I talked with her earlier tonight and still doing great. I will see how she feels tomorrow. I will certainly tell her what you said in your comment...that will boost her even more.

You are beautiful Lisa and I love you dear friend. My heart prayers will always be said for you and I think of you daily.

Extra Big Hugs,

Lisa, I have just spent over an hour reading your blog and I'm touched! God is speaking to me through you! Thank you for putting your "story" and heart on paper! I can relate to bits and pieces and it's always good to know I'm not alone. You can count on me to pray for you in this new battle - keep kicking just like you did years ago, but more than that keep trusting - He still has a purpose! So glad my 4 little ones (each 3 years younger than yours) are sleeping and I've had some uninterrupted time to "visit" with you!! Prayers from Iowa, Jill

*singing* If in your sickness you are desperate to recover....wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute now 'cause - they who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They will mount up on wings, they will walk and not faint. Seasons of this life change but God's faithfulness remains, they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength....

I prayed for you last night and for my other friend named also Lisa. She also has cancer and today she will be getting the results of a cat scan after quimo therapy to see if the cancer is still there or is gone. Lisa and her family are missionaries here in Spain.

God is OBSESSED with being TRUSTED!

Amen! Keep on TRUSTING HIM and BELIEVING HIM for His faithfulness!

Choosing JOY, Stephanie
