From: Kathy Scott
Lisa's mom called me tonight and asked me to post something, anything, a plea for prayer for her precious darling daughter. We are facing closed doors that only God can open, and we praise him today because we believe he'll answer our prayers tomorrow.
We're praying for insurance to cover MD Anderson. An appeal for insurance to cover MDA could take 30-days. Sarcoma is an aggressive cancer, and 30-days is not an acceptable amount of time to wait for a possible approval. We're praying for the funds to come through somehow, so that MDA can see Lisa, and at least give her a plan of action to take to Scott and White. This is especially important because Sarcoma is such a rare cancer, and only 4 hospitals in the WORLD treat this cancer, MDA being one of them.
A mother's plea for her child, what love can compare? I'm reminded of Matthew 7:9-11, "Would any of you give your hungry child a stone, if the child asked for some bread? Would you give your child a snake if the child asked for a fish? As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give good things to people who ask."
Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find."
We are asking and seeking the correct medical care, the best medical care. We are asking our Heavenly Father to give Lisa the best, claiming God's word as truth.
Also, pray for Lisa, Roseanne (Lisa's mom), and Andrew's strength.
So many are praying. Thank you for your prayers for these particular needs.
